IdPedia: Kingston’s New SSD Drive Tops 96GB

If your PC doesn’t have a solid state drive (SSD) your next one probably will. With no moving parts, there is far less chance for a physical failure which leads to costly repairs and data loss. Kingston introduced their new SSD (a 96GB model) earlier this month to much fanfare. But what would you, the end user, really get out of it?

How about a 25% performance boost over their older models? If that’s not good enough for you, how about the respectable price tag of just $290?

That’s right, the new V+100 outdoes the old SSDNow models by 25 percent and is wallet-friendly. Another great feature is the always on garbage collections. This service constantly monitors your drive and recycles unused data automatically. This drastically cuts down on the amount of errors you’ll run into and improve the performance of your PC in general.

If the $290 price tag is still too big for you, you can get a 64GB model for just $220. And if 96GB sounds too small for all of your data, you can grab a 512GB version but be prepared to drop almost 2 grand on that bad boy.
