LG 26LD350 Television Review–Surprisingly Good For the Price 0 komentar

We carry on with the look at lower priced televisions to get you fired up for Black Friday shopping with a look at the LG 26LD350, a surprisingly nice, if somewhat smaller, LCD television.

The LG 26LD350 is a twenty six inch 720p LCD television that offers a one hundred seventy-eight degree viewing angle, two seven watt speakers with Dolby Digital decoder and Infinite Sound technlogy, Clear Voice II technology, a variety of AV modes, 24p Real Cinema, Picture Wizard technlogy, SimpLink technology which controls all your LG devices in one remote, two HDMI ports, one component input, one composite input, one RF input, one PC input, one PC audio input, one digital audio output, one USB port and one headphone jack.

Like I said, smaller but still fairly nice. Sure, 720p video will never be anyone’s idea of an incredible picture, but it’s still within tolerances. And the video is a little better than normal–seven watts per speaker isn’t much at all, but when backed up with a Dolby Digital decoder, it certainly helps. And there are plenty of ports for old and new hardware alike, making this a good starter television.

And of course, like I said, the price is going to be one that’ll make you think twice as you can find the LG 26LD350 on Amazon for three hundred dollars.

So basically, you’ll get a surprisingly good quality television here for not a whole lot of cash, and that makes it one to consider even if it isn’t Black Friday.

Vizio Maintains Spot as Top US TV Manufacturer, Now Has 30% of Market 0 komentar

While companies like Sony and Samsung have been big name HDTV manufacturers for some time, Vizio is making quite the name for itself. In fact, it seems that Vizio has managed to maintain its spot as the top TV in the United States with a surprisingly high 30% market share. To put matters into persepctive, Vizio says that they have shipped 160,000 more televisions in the United States than its closet competitor.

Pretty amazing considering Vizio came out of seemingly no where and then proceeded to dominate the market. This just goes to show you that if you make a good product and price it competitively it is going to sell despite competition from big name companies.

What kind of television do you have? Are you part of the 30% that owns a Vizio? Let us know in the comments

Haier HL32D2 Television Review–Solid If Unspectacular 0 komentar

We carry on with our look at inexpensive televisions just ahead of Black Friday by taking a look at the Haier HL32D2, and you’ll be surprised that a television that doesn’t cost so much can still provide a decent value.

The Haier HL32D2 is a thirty two inch 720p LCD television that offers two ten watt speakers, AVL auto volume leveler systems to keep the volume stable for those times when you suddenly go from a quiet television show to the screeching horror that is some commercials, an AV input, two component inputs, two HDMI inputs, and a USB input. which provide a simple solution for high quality audio and video input. The USB input can be used for audio and digital pictures. Included with the TV is a full function remote control and swivel stand.

Thankfully, the picture on this one is pretty nice–nothing great, of course, 720p prevents anything really fantastic. And the sound quality isn’t the greatest either but the auto volume system is definitely a welcome addition.

Considering that the Haier HL32D2 is selling for $343.38 out at Amazon, it’s not at all surprising that it’s not a top-notch piece, but it’s at least fairly decent.

So if you’re looking for a new television, are very price-conscious, and don’t mind settling for a little less in the quality department, then the Haier HL32D2 might be just what you’re after.

LaCie FastKey SSD USB 3.0 delivers up to 260MB/s speeds in a tiny profile 0 komentar

It doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes to have files transferred to and fro most flash drives when working in bulk. It’s with the much lighter and lesser data that these few minutes seem long. LaCie suggests having a look at its very new SSD USB 3.0 drive, FastKey to take care of that. It reaches a maximum delivery speed of 260MB/s and is just 26cm3 in size.

Transfer speeds will be the least among users’ worries with this new SSD drive. In a design that makes it tiny enough to sit in the palm, the drive is reportedly capable of transferring 1000 mp3 or five DivX files under 60s. Performing nearly 10 times faster than traditional USB 2.0, the coupled SSD USB 3.0 capability of the drive along with the DRAM cache technology allows fast behavior.

“With most flash drives, transferring a large number of photos and mp3 files can take a few minutes,” commented Luc Pierart, Business Unit Manager, Personal Storage, LaCie. “With the Fastkey, transferring small files is immediate. You can back up or share your music and photo libraries as you head out the door.”

The sleek drive is just about 26cm3 in size which is complemented by the powerful solid-state flash technology. Encased by a sturdy aluminum cover, data is both safe and mobile. With no space wasted the flash drive bundles in a capacity of around 120GB. The strap should allow users to fasten the drive to a keychain or bag minus any hassles.

While the tailoring ensures users’ data is protected externally, the internal makeup of the drive also safeguards content. The included AES 256-bit encryption software maintains data security. All users need to do is pick the amount of capacity that they wish encrypt. They can then reach it via custom password. The drive’s entire capacity can also be encrypted for complete privacy. Wuala’s 4GB secure online storage gives users added storage and sharing options.

Available in 30GB, 60GB and 120GB storage capacities, the LaCie FastKey is offered at a price starting from $149.99. [http://www.techshout.com]
